Biography - Summary


Maxime Girard is a circus artist born and raised in Dolbeau-Mistassini, Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean. In 2002, he started gymnastics and dance with Troupe Madilhut. Then, it’s after 5 years of training, including one year of specialization in gymnastics in Chicoutimi in the program Sports-Arts-Études, that he launched himself into the circus world. In 2007, he started his professional training of 3 years at the National Circus School of Montreal, where he created his solo act in aerial hoop. During all these years of training, he stood out in many shows and competitions. Strongly attached to his roots, he mainly worked, as soon as he graduated from the school, for renowned Quebec established circus companies such as Les 7 doigts de la main, Cirque Éloize and Cirque du Soleil. Maxime approaches his work with dynamic energy. He’s an artist with strong technical skills which refuses to neglect his artistic side. He likes to fully invest himself in every project he does and he wants to extend his knowledge more and more while he’s doing a job that fascinates and inspires him.
